Refund policy

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in a Member State of the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), you have a statutory right of withdrawal, which we voluntarily extend to 30 days. You therefore have the right to withdraw from this contract within 30 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 30 days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), took possession of the goods.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (upride GmbH, Karl-Marx-Allee 107, 10243 Berlin, Germany, hello@upride.eu) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, an email or the form at the bottom of this page).

If you make use of this option, we will send you confirmation of receipt of such a withdrawal without delay (e.g. by email).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send the notification of your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall refund all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of any additional costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), without delay and at the latest within 30 days of the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal. We may deduct from this refund any compensation for damage exceeding the signs of wear and tear resulting from normal trial use.

We will use the same payment method for this refund as you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; under no circumstances will you be charged any fees in connection with this refund.

We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided evidence that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You must return or hand over the goods to us without delay and, in any event, no later than 30 days from the date on which you notify us of your withdrawal from this contract. The deadline is deemed to have been met if you dispatch the goods before the 30-day period expires.

You shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

If the goods show damage that goes beyond the signs of wear and tear resulting from normal trial use and which prevents them from being resold at their original value, you shall be liable to compensate us for the loss in value. We therefore ask you to follow the operating instructions carefully, to handle the goods with care, and to ensure they are folded and packed correctly. We will inform you immediately upon receipt of the goods of any damage.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal for services

The right of withdrawal expires once we have fully performed the services (e.g. servicing, repairs, modifications, replacement of parts), provided that we only commenced performance of the service after you had expressly consented to this and, at the same time, confirmed that you would lose your right of withdrawal upon full performance of the contract.
