upride® folding bike - Early Bird

Lockers in the gym. Trunks of small cars. Cloakrooms in the office. The luggage rack on the ICE. All of these are designed for carry-on dimensions - and that's exactly where the upride® effortlessly fits, where every other bike would be too big.

Take it out of your backpack, unfold it, and ride off: You can take it anywhere without limitations. Train delayed, car in the workshop, spontaneous detour - it doesn't matter. You're still mobile.

Five kilograms may just be a number on paper at first glance. In everyday life, it's the difference of not "having to really exert yourself."

upride® weighs 10 kg – that's lighter than your weekly grocery shopping and feels correspondingly light. Other folding bikes often weigh 15 kg or more. What sounds like a small difference is, in everyday life, the difference between a bike you actually take with you and one that ends up being left behind.

In the folding bike world, "compact" usually still means: carrying, lugging, heaving.

Not with the upride®. When folded, it simply rolls along – through narrow train aisles, through rush hour traffic at the station. Even when you're in a hurry, it's not a burden. You hold a handle – and forget that your bike is attached to the end of it.

This image shows the moment we induction braze the upper hinge – a process that joins metal at high temperatures, completely without the weaknesses of a traditional weld. We manufacture this joint ourselves, instead of outsourcing it: no supplier on the other side of the world, no black box in the supply chain. The hinge is precisely the point where a folding bike has to withstand the most – and that's exactly why it's the point where we keep quality in our own hands.
