What height is the upride® suitable for?
The upride® is designed for body heights from 1.40 m to 2.00 m. This is made possible by our sophisticated saddle construction: it can be adjusted much more individually than with classic folding bikes, so that the bike adapts to you - not the other way around.
Can I take the upride® on a train or plane?
That's exactly what it's made for. The upride® is the only bicycle in the world that meets true carry-on dimensions – most airlines accept it as hand luggage, and on trains, it fits under the seat or in the luggage rack. No extra charge, no special permit, no advance planning. You spontaneously decide when and how you travel. That is true freedom.
How do you manage to produce upride® in Germany at fair prices?
One of our most frequently asked questions. Producing in Germany is indeed a challenge for a small family business today – labor and production costs are higher here than elsewhere. Nevertheless, we are convinced that this is the right way forward. We don't want to shift value creation to the Far East but keep it here with us – for a strong domestic economy, with a long-term perspective.
We make this possible by selling the upride® directly to you, without any intermediaries. This saves costs, which we pass on to you. Our secret weapon to offer you Made in Germany at a fair price.
Is the upride® with 12-inch wheels comfortable and safe?
It's not wheel size that determines comfort - it's tire width. We tested everything during the development of the upride®: from 8 to 20 inches. The result: 12 inches is the optimal compromise between riding comfort and maneuverability - especially in the bustling city.
To ensure that 12-inch wheels are as comfortable as larger wheels, we deliberately chose wide 50-mm balloon tires. More air volume means more damping - softer and safer than narrow tires, whether on asphalt or cobblestones. In addition, the spring steel steering column acts like a natural full suspension.
And one more thing: thanks to our patented drive, you don't have to pedal faster with 12-inch wheels than with large wheels. The steering behavior is deliberately designed to be calm and stable - for a safe, astonishingly comfortable riding experience.
How safe and durable is the upride®?

What about delivery time and shipping?
Your upride® is made to order just for you – and yet is usually ready for dispatch within one to two weeks of ordering, because we handle the entire production process ourselves. The specific delivery time is stated on each product page. Every bike is assembled and checked by our fitters in Hanover before it’s sent on its way to you.
In Germany, we use DHL for delivery, and delivery is free on orders of €75 or more. If you live outside Germany, you can simply check the delivery table.
What happens if I don't like upride®?
Within the EU, we offer you a generous 30 days return policy – significantly more than legally required. Our experience: learning to ride an upride® is quick. Take 15 minutes, ride a few kilometers, and test it again the next day. You will notice how good it feels after a short time. And if not: We are personally there for you, answer every question and help you with your decision.
